To ensure your toy provides years of enjoyment, please follow the guidelines below for safe use, cleaning, and storage.

Some toys may arrive with a light coating of cornstarch. This is applied after manufacturing to prevent the silicone from sticking to packaging materials, especially for larger or softer shapes. It is completely body-safe and easily removed.
Before using a new toy, wash it thoroughly with warm water and mild soap. Avoid antibacterial soaps with added scents, dyes, or moisturizers, as they can leave residues or degrade the surface.
Wash your toy after each use and dry it completely before storing.
My toys are dishwasher safe, including the sanitize cycle, or can be boiled for 3–5 minutes to sterilize. If using a dishwasher, place the toy on a flat section of the rack away from sharp tines, and remove it promptly after the cycle to avoid pressure marks.
If your toy feels tacky or retains odor (especially after using oil- or silicone-based lubes), you may gently wipe the surface with 70–99% isopropyl alcohol. For tougher buildup, a cloth lightly dampened with acetone may be used sparingly.
⚠️ Important: Do not soak your toy in alcohol or acetone. Repeated or prolonged exposure can cause drying, swelling, or degradation of the silicone over time. Always rinse thoroughly and wash with soap and water afterward.

Store your SHEEF toys separately from other toys.
While my toys are made of platinum-cure silicone and are otherwise non-reactive, many other sex toys are not. Contact with lower-quality materials such as urethanes, rubbers, vinyl, jelly, or silicone blends may cause permanent melting, stickiness, or discoloration due to chemical reactions.
Use individual zip-top bags or lint-free pouches to protect from dust, lint, and potential contamination.
Avoid contact with sharp objects, printed packaging, or uneven surfaces that may leave permanent indentations or cause ink transfer.
Toys should always be fully dry before storage.
Do not bite, burn, cut, puncture, scratch, or gouge your toys. Silicone is durable but can tear under abuse, and any damage may lead to further ripping. Sharp fingernails or abrasive materials can also leave permanent marks.

✅ Water-Based Lubes – The safest and most compatible option for all SHEEF toys. Easy to clean and fully body-safe.
✅ Oil-Based Lubes – Options like coconut oil or Crisco are generally safe with platinum silicone. Avoid use with latex condoms. Note that oil-based lubes are harder to clean and may leave residue.
⚠️ Silicone-Based Lubes – While high-quality silicone lubes don’t typically damage platinum silicone, we recommend avoiding them due to cross-contamination risks.
If a silicone lube bottle has previously been used during play with vinyl, jelly, rubber, or TPR toys, chemicals from those materials can transfer onto the bottle. When that same bottle is later used with a platinum silicone toy, those chemicals may get reintroduced onto the toy's surface. Because silicone lube is difficult to wash off completely, it can hold those contaminants in place — potentially leading to a slow breakdown of the silicone over time, resulting in stickiness or surface damage.
